Hand-knotted in Western Turkey, this one-of-a-kind runner was woven approximately in the 1960s–1970s using 100% wool pile on a cotton foundation. The wool has developed a beautifully softened patina over time, giving the rug its signature lived-in character while maintaining strength and durability.

The design features delicate floral and geometric village motifs arranged across a warm terracotta field, framed by detailed borders that create movement and visual depth. Subtle tonal variation throughout the fibers — known as abrash — reflects the use of traditional hand-dyeing techniques and adds to the rug’s organic charm.

This runner has a low to medium worn pile, making it exceptionally versatile. It offers softness underfoot while remaining durable enough for hallways, kitchens, entryways, or layered interiors. The thinner vintage wear allows doors to clear easily and gives the rug a relaxed, heirloom aesthetic collectors love.

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
