C. 1920–1940 Malayer–Bibikabad runner, handwoven in Western Persia.
Features a rich walnut-brown field with small-scale floral latticework and vine motifs in ivory, indigo, and muted copper. The natural abrash and earthy tonality give this heirloom an understated warmth that feels both timeless and modern.
• Field Pattern: Repeating floral lattice with diamond rosettes, anchored by angular leaves and stylized vinework
• Border: Classic Malayer turtle-vine border with ivory inner and outer guards
• Composition: Geometric yet organic — a design vocabulary that bridges tribal and urban Persian weaving traditions
This pattern language — small, repeating medallions with vine tendrils — was common in Bibikabad and early Malayer production, making this runner a beautiful representation of Western Persia’s 1930s weaving culture.

Please note: These rugs are old and have lived a long life. When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
