A beautifully understated vintage hand-knotted runner with a warm camel-brown field and oversized geometric medallions outlined in chocolate, ivory and near-black. The design is unusually spare for a village rug, allowing the strong stepped forms and hooked detailing to really stand out.
A narrow geometric border frames the field in alternating ivory and deep brown, while subtle tonal variation through the wool gives the otherwise neutral palette depth and movement. The pile has that softly burnished, slightly irregular surface that comes with age and handwork rather than a perfectly uniform modern finish.
This is an exceptionally easy vintage rug to place — warm and earthy without reading rustic, and graphic enough to work beautifully in both traditional and more minimal interiors.
