Hand-knotted circa 1940-1950 in northern Afghanistan/Turkmenistan. A deep espresso-brown field hosts rows of classic Tekke guls in brick, cocoa, and muted rose, touched with ivory and soft sage. Framed by a striking multi-band border of moss green, charcoal, and red with ivory latch-hook motifs. Lush wool pile, vegetable-dyed color, and natural abrash give this piece authentic tribal character. Thick intact pile with clean secure edges.

Please note: These rugs are old and have lived a long life. When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
