A rare small-format Mahal runner from the storied Sultanabad weaving region, featuring a flowing allover pattern of leafy vines, palmettes, and meandering florals on a warm clay-rose ground. The painterly palette of navy, teal, soft celadon, walnut, and dusty copper is unmistakably early 20th century, with natural dyes that have mellowed into a soft, timeworn patina.
The relaxed village weave gives this runner its signature Mahal character, organic, rhythmic, and effortlessly elegant. Low, beautifully worn pile and a supple handle make it the perfect heirloom textural layer for a hallway, kitchen, or intimate pass-through space.

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only.
