This handwoven Persian village rug was crafted in Northwest Iran during the early–mid 20th century, a region known for durable construction and richly layered design. The field features a deep, wine-toned ground animated by stylized floral and geometric motifs rendered in muted blush, soft camel, olive, and indigo. The drawing is confident yet organic, reflecting village-level craftsmanship rather than workshop precision.
A dark, grounding border frames the composition with repeating floral forms, lending balance and visual depth. Subtle abrash throughout the field speaks to the use of hand-dyed wool and natural color variation developed over decades of age and use.
The proportions make this piece especially versatile — ideal as a hallway runner, kitchen anchor, or layered in a living space where warmth and character are desired.
Hand-knotted wool pile on a wool foundation.
• Good vintage condition consistent with age
• Even overall wear throughout the field

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
