This vintage Persian Hamadan rug was hand-knotted in western Iran in the mid-20th century and features a deep indigo ground filled with rhythmic boteh and floral motifs. A central geometric medallion anchors the design, surrounded by softly curving forms that bring movement and balance to the field.
The palette blends madder red, coral, muted teal, and warm ivory against the dark blue ground, creating a rich but restrained composition that works beautifully in both traditional and modern spaces. The wool pile has aged into a supple, comfortable surface with a naturally softened feel that reflects decades of use.

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
