Hand-knotted in northwest Iran Circa 1940–1960 (vegetable-dyed wool, slightly oxidized blacks and reds, but still vivid) this tribal wool runner features a chain of bold hexagonal medallions over an inky black field, each filled with blossoming tree motifs — a symbol of renewal and life.
The palette moves from rich madder red to ivory, blush, olive, and warm orange, with natural abrash lending depth and authenticity. A classic leaf-and-flower border frames the composition.
Long and architectural, it’s perfect for hallways, kitchens, or layered in a living space where length and drama matter.

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only.
