A richly saturated vintage Persian runner with an inky midnight ground scattered in repeating boteh-like floral motifs. The deep navy field is framed by soft ivory guard borders and a warm terracotta main border, creating beautiful contrast and movement.
This piece has that unmistakable old-world density — tightly knotted, weighty in hand, and saturated with natural vegetable dyes that have softened beautifully over time. The pattern reads almost like a textile tapestry from afar, and up close reveals intricate detail and nuanced abrash throughout the field.
The scale makes it ideal for:
• Narrow hallways
• Kitchen runs
• Layering over hardwood
• In front of a vanity or console
Origin & Age
Likely woven in Northwest Persia (Hamadan region) mid-20th century, circa 1940s–1960s.
The repeating all-over field, wool quality, and border structure are consistent with village production from this era. This is not a modern reproduction . The dye softness, knot structure, and handle confirm vintage origin.
Condition
• Structurally sound
• Strong selvages
• Original fringe present
• Even wear consistent with age

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
