This vintage Persian tribal rug features a warm sun-washed terracotta and wine-red medallion set against a softly aged ivory field, framed by deep navy and walnut borders. The geometric medallion and repeating vertical motifs reflect traditional village symbolism often associated with protection, balance, and continuity.
Woven by hand using naturally dyed wool, the surface displays gentle abrash and tonal variationdeveloped over decades, giving the rug depth and quiet movement. The palette blends terracotta, oxblood, espresso brown, and inky blue with softened neutrals, making it easy to layer into both modern and collected interiors.
A versatile smaller-scale piece—ideal for entryways, bedside placement, kitchens, or as a textural accent in layered spaces.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear consistent with a hand-woven rug of this era.

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
