A striking early 20th century Caucasian Kazak rug featuring bold hexagonal medallions set across a saturated oxblood red field. Hand-knotted with durable mountain wool and naturally dyed in deep indigo, madder red, and warm burnt orange, this tribal piece embodies the powerful geometry and symbolism that define authentic Caucasus weaving.

Each medallion carries ancestral motifs of protection, fertility, and continuity—woven not for decoration, but for meaning. The border is framed with traditional stepped rosettes, grounding the design with rhythmic balance. The wool pile remains supple and luminous, with beautiful age patina throughout.

A perfect statement rug for collected modern interiors, historic homes, and layered organic spaces.

Please note: These rugs are old and have lived a long life. When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
