Hand-knotted mid-century village rug from the Anatolia/NW Persia crossroads. An inky-navy, serrated diamond medallion sits on a sun-washed rose/peach field, with a buttery panelled center and tiny talismanic motifs—rams’ horns, amulets, ewers and rosettes—scattered through the field. Framed by a classic floral border that pops with ivory, teal and brick. Beautiful abrash (natural tone shifts) so the palette reads softer or moodier depending on the light.
