A beautifully balanced vintage Persian Hamadan featuring a bold geometric medallion design set within a warm rust-red field.

Hand-knotted in Northwest Iran, this rug showcases classic village weaving motifs with three stacked diamond medallions framed by intricate tribal borders. The field transitions between rust and walnut tones, creating natural depth and movement throughout the piece. Small repeating floral and rosette motifs fill the background, adding a rich textural quality that reveals itself as light moves across the wool.

The border is particularly striking, woven with angular tribal motifs in sage, ivory, charcoal, and golden olive, creating a strong frame that anchors the design.

The wool pile is soft and dense, with a beautifully aged patina that only comes from decades of natural use. Subtle abrash and gentle wear give the rug character while preserving its durability and structure.

Its versatile mid-size scale makes it ideal for entryways, kitchens, offices, bedside placement, or layered living spaces.
