This striking vintage tribal runner features a deep, inky navy field framed by richly saturated rust and terracotta borders. A rhythmic sequence of geometric medallions moves down the length of the rug, each one anchored by symbolic tribal motifs traditionally representing protection, balance, and continuity.

The contrast between the midnight blue ground and warm earthy accents gives this piece incredible depth and movement. Subtle abrash throughout the navy field adds natural tonal variation — a hallmark of hand-dyed wool and authentic village weaving traditions. The border carries classic protective guard motifs, creating a beautifully structured frame that grounds the bold interior design.

This runner has a versatile scale that works beautifully in entryways, kitchens, bedside placements, or layered over larger rugs for added visual interest.

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
