Hand-knotted by Baluch tribal weavers along the Iran–Afghanistan border circa 1935-1950, this small format rug is rich with symbolic charm. Its field is divided into rectangular garden panels filled with stylized trees and blossoms, framed by a border of simple vines and rosettes — a design that represents abundance and paradise in Baluch tradition.
Made of hand-spun wool pile on a supple wool foundation, it has softened beautifully over 60–80 years of life. Brick red, rust, indigo, and ivory create a warm yet earthy palette that’s easy to style in modern, eclectic, or traditional spaces.
At 3’2″ × 5’1″, it’s the perfect accent for an entryway, layered under a reading chair, or even hung as a piece of textile art.

Please note: These rugs are old and have lived a long life. When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
