Hand-knotted ( circa 1930-1950) in the Hamadan region of Persia circa mid-20th century, this vintage prayer rug carries with it both artistry and devotion. The deep cocoa-brown field is patterned with an allover lattice of small rosettes, symbolizing continuity and life. At the center, a singular woven arrow points upward within the mihrab arch — a quiet, symbolic guide for prayer and orientation.
Soft salmon and blush floral sprays crown the top and base, while a gentle border of stylized blossoms frames the composition. The palette of cocoa, ivory, and rose feels grounded yet luminous, giving this small rug presence far beyond its size.

Please note: These rugs are old and have lived a long life. When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
