A hand-knotted vintage runner woven in Eastern Anatolia in the early 20th century. The composition is organized around a strong central axis, framed by protective hooked medallions and rosette motifs traditionally associated with continuity and abundance.
The palette is grounded in a deep garnet red field, balanced by inky indigo and charcoal borders with softened accents of moss and aged gold. The wool has a matte, organic finish with subtle abrash throughout, reflecting decades of wear and natural dye variation.
A powerful, architectural piece with unmistakable village character.
• Good antique condition consistent with age
• Even overall wear throughout the field
• Low to medium pile with areas of gentle, age-related thinning
• Minor edge wear and softening at corners
• No holes or structural weaknesses
• Ends and selvages intact
Size: 2’8” × 10’6”
Origin: Eastern Anatolia (Caucasian-influenced village weaving)
Date: Circa 1920s–1930s

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
