A striking early 20th-century Kurdish runner, hand-knotted with rich natural dyes and bold tribal symbolism. Set against a deeply saturated indigo field, this long, narrow piece features stacked totemic motifs accented by stylized animals, birds, and tree-of-life elements—traditional symbols of protection, abundance, and continuity.
Woven entirely of wool, this runner has a soft yet resilient pile and a beautifully expressive hand, with subtle variations that speak to its age and artisan origins. The graphic contrast of inky blue, madder red, and warm earthen tones gives it strong architectural presence, making it an exceptional choice for hallways, kitchens, entry corridors, or layered behind furniture

When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
