Hand-knotted Anatolian village runner (likely Central/Eastern Turkey, Yörük/Kars influence)
• Materials: Wool pile, wool foundation; natural/early synthetic dyes with nice abrash (tonal shifts).
• Design: Terracotta/russet field with two stepped diamond medallions and striking ivory cartouche panels packed with hooked “ram’s-horn” and eight-point star rosettes—classic protective/abundance motifs. Multi-stripe borders with geometric meanders and rosettes.
• Palette: Brick/terracotta, tobacco, camel, ivory, soft ice blue, mustard, and touches of charcoal—reads warm but lifted by the pale blue and ivory.
• Condition: Even low pile with age-appropriate wear; ends and sides look secure from the photos; some gentle abrash throughout that gives movement.
