Woven in the rugged foothills of Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, this early Heriz runner bursts with tribal energy and raw elegance. Dramatic flaming motifs and stylized floral medallions anchor the richly saturated rose-red field, flanked by shadowy emerald spandrels and a rhythmic rosette border. The wool pile is soft yet dense—showing off the skilled hands of a rural weaver working from memory rather than formal pattern.Thick and durable wool pile—Heriz rugs were prized for their hardy mountain wool and graphic designs. Deep rose/burgundy field with soft green, indigo, coral, and ivory accents.

• Note the green dye (often prized by collectors)
