A hand-knotted Baluch (Timuri) village rug with a rare boteh-lattice field: hundreds of tiny leaf/seed motifs set in an indigo trellis and framed by stacked tribal borders. The palette glows in burnt apricot, camel, tobacco, claret, and inky navy, mellowed to a beautiful tea-wash. Hand-spun wool pile on a dark wool foundation gives that plush, velvety Baluch handle; natural abrash and age bloom throughout. Sized perfectly for an entry, office, or layered under a coffee table—earthy, graphic, and quietly luxe. Why it’s special
• Lattice boteh layout is less common for Baluch pieces (most are guls/prayer types).
• Deep, naturally dyed apricot & indigo combo with strong abrash = designer catnip.
Condition: Structurally sound; even, low vintage pile with light age speckling and minor end/fringe wear—typical for the age and priced accordingly.
Circa 1940-1955

Please note: These rugs are old and have lived a long life. When dealing with antique and vintage rugs it is very common to see color & size variations, signs of wear, repairs, etc. I photograph using natural light only. I do not retouch or otherwise manipulate images of rugs. Prices are very competitive because the rugs are not professionally cleaned. Every rug is however vacuumed two times front and back.
