A rare and richly aged Malayer village runner, hand-knotted in the early 20th century. Its all-over scatter design features a tapestry of tiny boteh (seed motifs), rosettes, and hooked diamonds drifting across a variegated field that transitions from brick and russet to soft clay, cocoa, and taupe—the kind of natural abrash that collectors and designers prize.

A cool slate-teal border frames the composition, adorned with simple rosettes and stylized ram’s horn “X” motifs—a subtle nod to tribal symbolism. Accents of ember, straw, and charcoal tie the palette together with quiet warmth.

At over 14 feet in length, this piece is perfect for generous hallways, gallery spaces, or layered interiors seeking movement, age, and soul.

Low–medium, even pile with age-softened color; scattered old, small tidy repairs;) and ends; lays flat
