A century-old heirloom woven along the Persian–Afghan border, this Baluch tribal runner tells its story through texture and tone. Hand-knotted with a blend of camel hair and mountain wool, its surface carries a soft, velvety matte sheen that shifts between brick, walnut, and tobacco under natural light. The dark foundation threads are spun from goat hair, a signature of early nomadic work, giving the piece strength and supple movement.

Each diamond medallion and stepped border is rendered in natural vegetable dyes—no harsh chemicals, only color mellowed by time and lanolin. The pile has oxidized to perfection, revealing depth and character that can’t be reproduced by modern weaving. Edges and ends remain original and intact, proof of careful stewardship over generations.

This runner drapes beautifully across hardwood floors or layered over stone, grounding any space with the warmth and history of true hand-woven craft.
