This vintage Persian Malayer rug features an all-over geometric field woven in warm terracotta, muted indigo, olive, and soft camel tones. Hand-knotted in western Iran circa the mid-20th century, the design reflects traditional village weaving — practical, durable, and rich with subtle variation that only time can create.
The low, even pile shows decades of honest wear, giving the rug a beautifully softened handle and a lived-in patina that works effortlessly in both classic and modern interiors. Layered geometric borders frame the field with rhythm and structure, while the earthy palette makes it especially versatile for living rooms, dining spaces, or large bedrooms.
Woven from wool on a cotton foundation, this piece was made for everyday use and has aged gracefully, offering character without compromising integrity.
